Bonus Languages: A wizard may substitute Draconic
for one of the bonus languages available to the character
because of his race.
Arcane Bond (Ex or Sp) Amulet of the Destroyer: At 1st level, wizards form a
powerful bond with an object or a creature. This bond
can take one of two forms: a familiar or a bonded object.
Wizards who select a bonded object begin play with one
at no cost. If a wizard attempts to cast a spell
without his bonded object worn or in hand, he must make a
concentration check or lose the spell. The DC for this check
is equal to 20 + the spell’s level. If the object is a ring or
amulet, it occupies the ring or neck slot accordingly.
A bonded object can be used once per day to cast any one
spell that the wizard has in his spellbook and is capable of
casting, even if the spell is not prepared. This spell is treated
like any other spell cast by the wizard, including casting time,
duration, and other effects dependent on the wizard’s level.
This spell cannot be modified by metamagic feats or other
abilities. The bonded object cannot be used to cast spells
from the wizard’s opposition schools (see arcane school).
Arcane School Conjuration/ Opposition – Necromancy, and Evocation:
A wizard can choose to specialize in one
school of magic, gaining additional spells and powers based
on that school. This choice must be made at 1st level, and
once made, it cannot be changed. A wizard that does not
select a school receives the universalist school instead.
Conjuration School
The conjurer focuses on the study of summoning monsters
and magic alike to bend to his will.

Summoner’s Charm (Su): Whenever you cast a conjuration
(summoning) spell, increase the duration by a number
of rounds equal to 1/2 your wizard level (minimum 1).
At 20th level, you can change the duration of all summon
monster spells to permanent. You can have no more than
one summon monster spell made permanent in this way at
one time. If you designate another summon monster spell as
permanent, the previous spell immediately ends.

Acid Dart (Sp): As a standard action you can unleash
an acid dart targeting any foe within 30 feet as a
ranged touch attack. The acid dart deals 1d6 points of
acid damage + 1 for every two wizard levels you possess.
You can use this ability a number of times per day equal
to 3 + your Intelligence modif ier. This attack ignores
spell resistance.

Dimensional Steps (Sp): At 8th level, you can use this
ability to teleport up to 30 feet per wizard level per day
as a standard action. This teleportation must be used in
5-foot increments and such movement does not provoke
an attack of opportunity. You can bring other willing
creatures with you, but you must expend an equal
amount of distance for each additional creature brought
with you.

Bio:

Name: Educe
Race: Hobgoblin
Class: Summoner
Proposed Allignment: Neutral Evil
Concept: Misguided Evil: Raised in an Evil Society, he thinks that what most of us consider as ‘Evil’ is ‘Good’, and Vica Versa. So he attempts to be the best ‘Evil’ that he can be…

Educe was a young Hobgoblin touched by the power of the planes from a young age. He could call tiny monsters to do his bidding even as a child. Though possessed of a powerful sense of order and community like his brethren, his magical nature made him an outcast in his own village. (Hobgoblins are mistrustful of magic in general, and Arcane magic in particular). Again and again he attempted to do things to help his community, but was spurned for his ‘gifts’. He even summoned a Dark Warlord from the outer Planes to fight at the forefront of his Village’s soldiers, but this being too was reviled for being a ‘Demon brought forth to conquer the tribe’. After he summoned additional troops out of thin air to help his villagers against a marauding beast, he was seen as a threat by the tribe’s leaders… They accused him of disturbing the spirits of their ancestors and forcing them to fight, (for where else could he be calling unknown Hobgoblins from?) and cast out into the wasteland to die… Lacking any other direction, Educe and ‘The Warlord’ headed east towards the Mountains that his people called the World’s Teeth. He spent weeks lost in the blasted wasteland before coming to the foothills of the World’s Teeth, and there he beheld an amazing sight: A burbling river of blessed clear, clean water roared over rapids and rocks. Hearing a strange sound coming from the bank, he bid The Warlord to keep watch while he investigated. Amid the floatsam and jettsam along the edge of the stream he discovered a tiny bundle of cloth, containing a perfect human child! His people had once been men before the Great Convergence, but had been warped by it’s baleful energies into bestial parodies of their former selves. (It is also from this that they gained their hatred of all things, and beings, magical) Delighted with this discovery, Educe decided to take the child and head upstream, for where else could this tiny one have come from? Carrying the child and trusting to The Warlord to keep them safe, Educe followed the river up it’s steep and rocky course for nearly a day and a half before being discovered by a search party. A group of armed hunters carrying rifles and blades. They addressed The Warlord as, despite his glowing eyes, he apeared the more human of the two of them, “Seem’s you’ve found my son Stranger, what say you hand him over?”. As he pronounced this, the group raised their rifles to their shoulders. Knowing that The Warlord was mute, and that his bestial form was probably frightening to them, Educe quickly answered for him as would a servant, “Please forgive us noble ones, but my Master lost the ability to speak long ago; and I, his humble servant, must speak in his stead”, now their attention (and their aim) wandered towards him, “My Lord found the child yesterday, and sought to bring him back to you ’o brave Hunters”. Educe then bowed, though The Warlord did not; before handing the child over to it’s Father. Out of gratitude for the return of his Son; the Hunter Habo Gad, offered the pair a meal, and a place to stay for the night. Educe quickly accepted for both of them, while continuing the ruse that The Warlord was his master. Dinner was a quiet affair, and Habo was concerned that The Warlord did not eat. Educe explained that his master had been suffering from a stomach malady, and perhaps he would be hungry in the morning. After the Two had excused themselves to the Barn to sleep, Habo went into town to get the Oracle. He would not have his guest suffering from some illness without at lest trying to seek treatment for it. The Oracle Amitri, wishing to meet this stranger from outside of their community, agreed to see Habo’s guest immediately, and hastened to the man’s farm. They found Educe sleeping alone, with The Warlord nowhere in sight. Amitri gently woke the Hobgoblin, and though he was initially fearful of the milky-eyed woman, he was quickly mollified by her strange kindness. He tearfully explained that he had been cast out of his village for his evil ways, and begged her for her blessing to stay in this new town, among real Humans. Amitri had seen Educe’s coming in a vision, and knew him not to be a threat, but was curious about his crimes; and he was more than happy to confess. He admitted to being Evil, to always doing the Wrong thing for the Right reasons. He had always made sure that the children of his people had plenty of food so that they could grow up to be strong, bloodthirsty warriors. He had always protected the environment from their goblin-kin’s love of setting fires so that his people might have adequate wood for weapons, and food to feed their conquest. He had helped heal sick and injured warriors so that they might fight again, and create more mayhem. He had always let evil be his guide! Amitri was greatly amused, and told Educe that her town could use his kind of ‘Evil’. She would formally welcome him, and his ‘Master’, into the village if he could find it within himself to live alongside the Native Alfar of this land – for all who were refugees were welcome here. Though terrified of the Alfar, as all wrong-thinking Hobgoblins should be, he figured that as long as he continued to pretend to be nothing more than a servant, they should leave him in peace. So he agreed to try… Thus Educe, and The Warlord, were welcomed into their new community.

Mechanics:
Educe is a play on the character of Gnarl from the videogame ‘Overlord’. In this incarnation, the ‘Overlord’ or ‘Warlord’ is his summoner’s Eidolon, and acts as additional muscle for the party as a second-line Tank; while Educe himself calls in reinforcements on ‘His Lord’s’ behalf and act as a second-line controller. (I realize that this is a lot like one of my typical fighter-mages, but in separate bodies…)
As the game develops I would like to try to replicate other facets of the ‘Overlord’ game experience; where eventually Educe spends most of his time in a Tower, and directs the ‘Warlord’ and his summoned Minions telepathically. (Perhaps when we reach the phase of the game where we are trying to build countries anyway).
